Methodology
Back to calculatorData source
This demo reads local CSV files from the U.S. Census Bureau’s American Community Survey (ACS) tables placed under c:\Beyondigm\data.
Percentile estimate
The U.S. percentile is estimated from the household income distribution (bucket counts). Within each bucket we assume a smooth spread to approximate a point percentile.
Limits
- State and age-group breakdowns are displayed as placeholders until corresponding tables are wired in.
- Open-ended top bucket (e.g. $200k+) is approximated with a conservative tail curve.
- Fantasy Forbes ranking and billionaire comparisons are satire-only entertainment.
